Making workshops was a national consequence of our work. To us, to exchange experiences and to collaborate with the formation of others interested in cinema is an important feedback process, which makes our practice more fluid, plural and dynamic.
We are a content producer, but as the exhibition has always been and still is a bottleneck to the Brazilian audiovisual, we also make projects of exhibition of films on alternative spaces and public places, always aiming at the formation of an audience. The events are free and have a space for discussion after each session.
Making of documentaries
This workshop involves all steps of the making of a documentary, from conception of the theme, research and pre-production, recording, edition and finishing.
The critical observer
The mass communication and entertainment industry is currently the biggest opinion-making vehicle of the contemporaneous society. From the beginning of the history of printed media, cinema, radio and later of TV, those languages have always been connected to the great ideological and political visions in effect. Thus, how to perceive the discourse behind the successive edition of images? Or how is a certain point-of-view suggested with the creation of fictional and documental stories? It is questions like these that this workshop intends to survey, and, above all, discuss.
Photography, whether in motion or static, always goes from a private look to the world. Therefore, it is the look of the photographer, their relationship with the light, the forms, places, people and situations that surround them, that make the images produced consistent, sensitive and communicative. In this course, we propose a training to the look based both on the appreciation of films and in the production of several practical exercises.
Short film script
This workshop proposes a practical approach to the creative process in the construction of a fictional story. Through some narrative technical resources, participants make a script of a fictional short film.
Relations between documentary and medical practice
This workshop was given for some years in the Medicine School of Unicamp, to first year students of the courses of medicine and phonoaudiology. From the study and exercises about the practice of interview in the documentary, we work the sensitization for the listening to the other, the interest for life stories, and thus, the humanization of the relationship between doctors and patients.
In a partnership with Praça do Coco, in Barão Geraldo (Campinas/SP), Cine Coco was structured from two main goals: The occupation of public spaces with cinema sessions, wherein national movies were exhibited – always one long preceded by one short, and the democratization of the access to movies, our of the commercial cinema circuit in the shopping centers in the city, with free sessions. The project lasted 18 months, between 2010 and 2011.
It was a partnership between Laboratório Cisco, group Pró Parque of Barão Geraldo and ´producer Capuccino Produções, in addition to some collaborators.
