WHAT WOULD BECOME OF US WITHOUT THE THINGS THAT ARE NOT – LUME THEATER
The filming of that spectacle was part of project “LUME Teatro – 20 anos de História e Pesquisa Teatral”, funded by Petrobrás through PROGRAMA PETROBRAS CULTURAL 2004/2005, which provided to the audience access to some of the works of the group’s setlist recorded into a DVD.
Chico, Dante and Rouca, three retired scientist-hatters, meet in the silent dawn of an old factory with the goal of making the “perfect hat”, aided by a young apprentice, Pao.
Under the pretext of the “search for the perfect hat”, the director and actors create a fable which dramaturgy goes from the real to build a purely theatrical event. The meeting between real stories and the research made by the LUME resulted in the creation of a dreamlike factory of borrowed realities, filled by the memory of the daily lives of many hatters.
