DEFIANT
Documentário | 90 min | Coraci Ruiz e Julio Matos
After years of living on the streets, Suzy found in activism a new professional path. Drawing on her experience as a beneficiary of social programs, she reinvented herself as a leadership. Today, she is committed to caring for vulnerable people and confronting transphobia in the conservative city of Campinas, in Brazil’s interior. A trans, Black woman from the outskirts, Suzy went from the streets into politics.
