Created in 2003 and based in Campinas (São Paulo, Brazil), Laboratório Cisco is a production company of documentary TV series, short and feature films. We seek powerful stories and characters, through themes related to popular culture and human rights.
CISCO / FOUNDERS

Coraci Ruiz holds a BA in Dance, an MA in Audiovisual Culture and Media, and a PhD in Multimedia, all from Unicamp (State University of Campinas). She has been a documentary filmmaker since 2003, when she participated in the foundation of the production company Laboratório Cisco.

Julio Matos has a degree in Sociology from Unicamp (State University of Campinas) and a Master in Media and Communications from Goldsmiths - University of London. He attended the workshop Realización de Documentales at EICTV, in Cuba, in 2005. He has been a documentary filmmaker since 2003, when he participated in the foundation of the production company Laboratório Cisco.
JULIO MATOS
Director & Producer

Hidalgo Romero holds a BA in Architecture and Urbanism from Unesp and a Masters in Multimedia from Unicamp (State University of Campinas). He took a workshop on "Film Scriptwriting" at the International Film and TV School of San Antonio de los Baños in Cuba in 2005. He is a partner at Laboratório Cisco since 2006, where he works as director, producer and screenwriter.

Marcelo Félix has a master's degree in Multimedia from the Institute of Arts at Unicamp (State University of Campinas), specialist in Cultural Project Management from CELACC - USP, graduated in Image and Sound - Audiovisual Production from UFSCar and in Social Sciences from Unicamp. He develops research in the areas of culture, diversity, public policies and incentive mechanisms for the audiovisual sector. He is a producer of films and series, with professional experience mainly in the areas of executive production, office production and finalization production. At Cisco, he is our administrator, executive producer, controller, accountant, and the most reasonable person among us.
MARCELO FÉLIX
Executive Producer and Controller

Lucas has a degree in Social Communication - Midialogy from Unicamp (State University of Campinas). He organised our production and post workflow. Lucas also does effects, motions and master our films. Oh, he also keeps all the Cisco islands and machines running at their maximum potential, even the ones we once thought of throwing in the trash.
LUCAS LAZARINI

Nicola Tenca has a degree in Social Sciences - Sociology from the State University of Campinas, a master's degree in Audiovisual and Cinema from Goethe Universität Frankfurt, and has also studied at Universitat Pompeu Fabra Barcelona and Stockholm University in Sweden. In addition to his academic career, Nicola is our Production Director, organising our schedule, managing our house and taking care of Cisco's pre-production, production and post-production activities. Nicola is an independent audiovisual director by practice and transmasculine by resistance.
Bárbara Sodré
Producer

Guta has a bachelor's degree in Social Communication - Media Studies from Unicamp (State University of Campinas). She has experience with video editing and finishing, direct sound and editing for audiovisual and original soundtrack production. Her projects involve research on LGBTQ+, digital media and electronic music. At Cisco she is the queen of the sound studio, piloting the Protools. Besides doing that editing assistance and accessibility production.
AUGUSTA GUI
Sound Editor

João is studying Social Communication - Media Studies at the State University of Campinas and started here at Cisco as an assistant. He has experience as a director of photography, colorist and editor. Here with us, he helps with all the post-production stages and is always ready - as calmly as he can - to help with emergencies when the production team comes knocking.
JOÃO GABRIEL S. LUIZ

Roni Sepulveda, a graduate in Social Communication - Media Studies from the State University of Campinas, has experience as an audiovisual and cultural creator and producer. He was an integral part of the educational team for the 35th São Paulo Biennial at the Sesc Campinas unit. He has a strong affinity for pop and geek culture, as well as an interest in racial and LGBT+ content.
